Why West Loop Professionals Choose In-Home Personal Training
West Loop has changed faster than any neighborhood in Chicago. Five years ago you walked past converted warehouses. Today you walk past Google, McDonald's HQ, Time Out Market, and what is arguably the best restaurant strip in the country. The crowd that lives here now — tech leads, consultants, founders, agency creatives, hospitality operators — works hard, eats well, and rarely has consistent time for the gym. That's the gap in-home training closes. I come to your building — your loft on Randolph, your high-rise off Halsted, the rooftop gym at NEMA, the spa-level fitness floor at K Station — with the program, the equipment, and the structure you need. You skip the 25-minute round trip to the boutique studio, the wait for a bench, and the inconsistent class schedule. Most West Loop clients train 2–3 mornings a week before their first meeting, or right after work on the days they're not at Aba, Bavette's, or Avec. I've been training West Loop residents since before Fulton Market had its name on the El stop. I know which amenity gyms are world-class (and which are barely worth using), which loft layouts have room for a real session, and how to build a strength program that fits a calendar that changes every week. If you've tried five different gyms, three different boutique studios, and still aren't training consistently — this is built for you.

Women Returning to Strength Training
Engineers and PMs from the Google office. Consultants who fly Monday–Thursday. Investment professionals who do their thinking at 6 AM in their building gym. We work around the schedule volatility, build real strength, and lock in 2–3 sessions a week that don't move.
Restaurant operators, agency founders, creative directors. Your calendar can't take an hour-plus commute to a gym. I show up at your loft or building gym at 6:30 AM, we get through a programmed strength session, and you're back at your desk by 8.
Post-baby return, post-injury comeback, or simply done with Pilates and HIIT classes that didn't move the needle. We build a real strength foundation — squat, hinge, push, pull — that changes how your body looks and feels over a season, not a week.

What In-Home Training in West Loop Looks Like
Step 1 — Free 30-minute consultation. We meet at your place (or Zoom). You tell me your history, what's worked, what hasn't, and what a "win" looks like in 90 days. I tell you exactly how I'd build your program.
Step 2 — Movement and strength assessment. Before we load weight, I assess how you move. Hip and ankle mobility, shoulder positioning, core stability, old injuries. Nothing gets loaded until the foundation is honest.
Step 3 — A program built for your space and your week. Your "gym" might be a Restoration Hardware-furnished living room with a single kettlebell, a NEMA-level amenity floor with full Hammer Strength setup, or somewhere in between. The program gets built around what you actually have access to. I bring bands, suspension trainers, and adjustable dumbbells when needed.
Step 4 — Sessions in your space, on your schedule. Most West Loop clients train 2–3 times a week, sessions 50–60 minutes. I show up on time, every time, with the day's session ready to run.
Step 5 — Quarterly progress reviews. We measure what matters — strength numbers, body composition, energy, sleep, how clothes fit, how you feel walking up a flight of stairs. Then we adjust.

What West Loop Clients Say
I’ve been training with Darek and can’t recommend him enough! He comes right to my gym, which makes staying consistent so easy. He’s incredibly kind, educated, and a true perfectionist in the best way — always focused on form, safety, and making sure every movement is done correctly. He challenges me in all the right ways and has already helped me get so much stronger. Every session feels intentional, motivating, and tailored to my goals. If you want a trainer who is supportive, detail-oriented, and delivers real results, Darek is the one
- Lindsay S. (trains at The Metro)
Darek is reliable and kind - and he’ll be very patient with you and supportive if you’re not exactly a natural-born body builder. He’s so hard working and really aims to accommodate your schedule to find appointment times that work. I feel entirely comfortable working 1:1 with him in the privacy of my own home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!
- Marisa R. (trains at The Madison)
I first met Darek four years ago when I needed to adjust my major health goals, and he was incredibly helpful. Over time, both my husband and I sought his guidance for exercise and health-related issues. He is especially skilled in providing diet instructions. Additionally, he assisted my mom with her knee problem, tailoring exercises to her individual needs. I highly recommend him for his expertise and personalized approach.
